Om Salvie og Salviebrenning

Salvie» kommer fra det latinske ordet salvare, og betyr «å hele» eller «å helbrede». På engelsk heter den White sage og på latinsk Salvia apiana.  

Hvit Salvie er en av de ypperste røkelsene for rensing av rom, og for å fjerne sykdomsenergier. Salvien har også en rekke medisinske virkninger, blant annet hjelper den mot forkjølelse og hudlidelser.

For Meditasjon
Salvie er perfekt til å rense og klargjøre et rom for meditasjon. Bunten brytes opp og legges i et abaloneskjell eller en annen ildfast skål. Deretter tenner man på salvien slik at den blir liggende og gløde, blås forsiktig på eller vift med en fjær for å få mer røyk. Blir brukt til renselse, seremonier, velsignelser, healing og til å
holde negativitet unna.

Tidligere ble salvien høyt verdsatt for sine medisinske egenskaper mot bl.a. hoste og forkjølelse. Den ble da brukt i bad som tonic.

White sage is an excellent ritual tool for cleansing and Palo Santo is a wonderful cleansing wood incense that also invites positive and creative energy to your space.

All of our sage is entirely hand picked (very carefully!), hand tied and packaged with love and care. The sage comes from private land in a mountainous region around California. By picking the sage it helps spread small seeds on to the ground and gives birth to new sage plants. These perennial herbs grow naturally in their original habitat just as they have for millennia.

Palo Santo is a Peruvian tree, traditionally used to purify, heal, inspire creativity and protect the spirit from negativity. Our palo santo comes to its final resting spot on the floors of quiet Peruvian forests, gathered by locals after freely falling from branches (never cut). To ensure this sacred tree survives for generations to come, these hard-working men and women replant young palo santo saplings each year.

The beautiful and natural Abalone shell comes from the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, hand caught 1-by-1 via divers under a strict daily limit to ensure the species is well managed. Many other species of Abalone are not managed nearly as well and we are proud to support a more sustainable environment.

The wooden stand is made from Mango and Indica wood and smudging feather is sourced from a cruelty free company.

The Rose Quartz and Amethyst stones are cut, shaped and polished after they're pulled from the ground in Africa. Rose Quartz is a soft pink element representing and manifesting Love, Trust, Connection and Harmony. Amethyst is a beautiful purple element representing and manifesting Confidence, Intuition, Creativity all while Purifying Negative Energy.
