I handcrafted this gorgeous blue swallowtail butterfly necklace from a REAL Blue Mountain Swallowtail Butterfly wing! The wings are embedded under a large magnified glass cabochon - your choice of the large 1.2" x 1.6" (as pictured) or the smaller .9" x 1.2" version. The butterfly wing is then set in antique silver. This Blue Mountain Swallowtail Butterfly (also known by its scientific name: Papilio ulysses) originates from Australia. The wings are black and a vibrant blue that turns from navy to teal depending on how the light hits it.

The Chain measures approximately 18 inchesand is meant to rest on the upper chest (as pictured). If you would prefer your pendant on a long 30 inchchain that hangs down low, just message me and I can switch it out. (Or if you would prefer to measure yourself and let me know exactly how long you would like your chain, I will be happy to make a custom length chain just for you.)
